Catherine,
The Pension List of 1835 lists two Thomas Langley's who died during the War of 1812 while serving in the US Army.
Thomas Langley from Norfolk County, MA, was a private in the 21st Regiment of US Infantry. He died on 20 August 1814. His heirs, Newell, Thomas and John Langley, received 1/2 pay for 5 years as part of the pension. No widow is listed.
Thomas Langley from Washington County, TN, was a private in the 7th Reigment of US Infantry. He died on 30 November 1814. His heirs, William, Thomas and John Langley, received 1/2 pay for 5 years as part of the pension. No widow is listed.
Hopefully, one of these two soldiers is your relative.
