Paul,
Regarding your grandfather's birthplace, is Cleaborn, AL the name of the town or the county? If the town, what county is it in? If the county, could it be CLEBURNE Co., AL? Cleburne Co., AL borders Calhoun Co., AL, where my ancestor John Warmack was living in 1850. He was born about 1789 in SC and lived in Franklin and Habersham Co's in GA before moving to Benton (now Calhoun) Co., AL in the 1840's.

It will take a little more research to see if our lines connect.
