Debbie, I descend from Thomas Perry Warmack and his first wife, Nancy Keeling. Nancy died and 'Perry' remarried to Judith Ann Waters before moving to Arkansas. I have not traced beyond John Warmack, Perry's father, but he is mentioned in several court records of Habersham Co., GA, dating to 1821 and Franklin Co., GA records dating back to 1811. The 1805 Franklin Co., GA tax list does show a John Womack. I'm not sure if this is our guy or not. He may be part of the Abraham, William, David, Richard, and Jacob bunch that don't appear to be related to John at this time. There is not another John listed until 1810 and this one is listed as "John Wammack", but he his surrounded by Archibald Scott, Clemont Waters, Richard Holcom, Jeptha White, and John Echols - all names that show up in one record or another with John Warmack down the line. There seems to have been quite a migration of families from the old Pendleton District, SC into this area in this time frame. I'm wondering of John Warmack was part of that. I have more info to share, if you are interested. I'd love to see what you have. Thanks, David
