I am new to this forum, so I just saw your posting re: Charles M. Waring.I have brief Waring family records left to me by my deceased parents. (My mother was a Waring.)A Charles M. Waring was the brother of my great, great grandfather, John Waring.Charles and John were born in Seneca County, NY, and John married and moved to Michigan in the 1850's.I don't know if Charles moved west, also. Another brother, William Waring, stayed in Seneca County, and died there in 1886.I have a birth date for Charles M. Waring of May 2, 1830, and a date of death of February 11, 1863, which seems to coincide quite closely with the dates of death in Civil War records (February 16, 1863) that list place of death as Memphis, TN.I see that you have his birth year as 1830, too. The parents of the three brothers were Samuel Waring (10/21/1800 to 8/13/1873) and Marium (Howell) Waring (7/4/1801 to 8/7/1856).Samuel and Marium were married on Jan. 5, 1823. I am quite sure that they are buried at Canoga Cemetery, Fayette, Seneca County NY. I would be most interested to know if Capt. Charles M. Waring was my relative.I have good data on my great, great grandfather, John Waring, and I am in the process of trying to locate descendants of Charles M. and William Waring. Any new information that you may have would be appreciated.
