William Jefferson Warhurst (Bill), b. 4 Dec 1923, died 1 May 2005 in Loveland, Colorado. He was the youngest, and surviving child of William Jefferson Warhurst (Will) and Olive Barnhart. He is survived by his wife Beverly Slade Warhurst, a sister-in-law, Ernestine Warhurst, nieces Patricia Johnsen Hicks, Janice Williams Moreno, Cheryl Warhurst Fields, Judith Warhurst Bryan, and 2 nephews, Walter James Warhurst and Paul William Warhurst, and their children and grandchildren.
Bur. 6 May 2005 Hawthorne Gardens, Jefferson City, Missouri
He served in the Field Artillery in World War II and was wounded in Normandy shortly after D-Day, receiving the Purple Heart. He returned to combat and fought in the Rhineland, the Ardennes, and the Battle of the Bulge.
After the War, he attended and graduated from the University of California-Berkeley, where he met his wife Beverly. They were married in Berkeley in 1948.
After 28 years at Blue Cross of California, he retired as Vice President. In 1974 he started and was President of California Health Data Corporation in Sacramento, California.
In 1977, William and Beverly Warhurst moved from California to Jefferson City, Missouri where he started and was CEO of the Missouri Health Data Corp. until he retired in 1983 He then did computer consulting and programming until they moved to Loveland, Colorado in 1991.
