You mentioned his parents ancestors, are you talking about the Ware line or the Ford/Smith? We have done some considerable work on the Ford line but have yet to come up with any documentary information. We would love to be advised if you have any information on the Ford/Smith side.
I got the birthdate from the family bible that came to me through my grandfather whose mother was William's sister.
