I have just recently started Wardwell Genealogy research and have discovered that I am a direct descendent of Samuel Wardwell. Georgia Wardwell Bowden was my great-grandmother. Georgia is the daughter of Mary Wardwell and Leander Bowden. I have seen her mistakenly listed as George on some websites. I have seen the 1880 census which clearly lists her as Georgia and as female. Her mother Mary Wardwell is the daughter of Charles Wardwell and Mary Leach. Charles Wardwell is the son of Josiah Wardwell and Hannah Westcott. Josiah Wardwell is the son of Daniel Wardwell and Sarah Staples. Daniel Wardwell is the son of Eliakim Wardwell and Ruth Bragdon. Eliakim Wardwell was the son of Samuel Wardwell and Sarah Hooper. Most of this info came from familysearch.org., the 1880 census and family papers. Georgia Wardwell Bowden was born 4 Oct, 1866, died 2 July, 1948 (while my parents were on their honeymoon). She married Rufus Peter Facteaux (sometimes spelled without the "x") 24 Feb 1833 in Orland, Maine. I have their original wedding certificate and a copy of her death certificate. I also have a tintype of Georgia and Rufus if you are interested in pictures. Rufus was born 5 Feb 1861, died 31 Mar 1949. They had 3(?) children:

Ethel born 1886, died 1987 (at the ripe old age of 101! - I saw her at 95 and she was still sharp as a tack!), married Harold M. Wasson born 1881, died 1963.

Ella (my maternal grandmother) born 1895, died 1962(?) in a car accident, married Clyde Colon Pendleton born 16 May 1891, died Jun 1965.

Oscar born 12 Jul 1899, died 10 Feb 1995 married Hilda (Leach or Giles) in 1925.

There was a Ralph Facteaux born Oct 1883, died 1966. I don't think he was a son (unless he was a preemie or Georgia was pregnant when they married). It seems to me my Grandmother only had one brother and one sister. He may have been a nephew of Rufus. In 1931 he married Hazel (Springer or Giles). Hazel was born 1906, died 1984. I have to do more research on this line at some point.

Ella and Clyde were my mother's parents. My Mother was an only child, Gloria Pendleton, born 28 Feb 1924, died 28 Oct 1977. She married William Kennis Millar, born 21 Oct 1924, died 6 Oct 1998. They married June 26, 1948 and had 3 children:

Pamela Ann Millar born 15 May 1952
Deborah Lee Millar born 28 Dec 1954 (me)
William Kennis Millar, Jr. born 13 August 1957

I hope I have written this so that it isn't too confusing. Let me know if you need further info and I'll be happy to supply what I can.

Deborah (Millar) Stewart
