Hi Betsy, my connection with surname WARDNER is rather indirect. My GG
Grandfather was John WARDNER JOY, from England, possibly Dorset, Wiltshire,
Salisbury area.It has always been said in the family that WARDNER is a
family name, and it always shows up a few times in each generation.I am
led to believe from that, that there was probably a marriage into the JOYs
by a member of the WARDNER family, female, I presume and that her maiden
name was used as a given name for JOY children.Do you know anything about
JOYs in your WARDNER family?
I know this is a shot in the dark, but he John W. has been my dead end for
so long that I am grasping at any little thing. Thanks
Pat, in Oregon
