I live in Washington DC and recently have been working on a project involving the Wardman Park Hotel. In my early research I noted that the City Museum here in Washington (which houses the D.C. Historical Society) holds the Harry & Lillian Wardman papers (1916 - 1930). The papers are identified as #MS 382. The City Museum can be reached as follows:

City Museum of Washington, D.C.
801 K Street, N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20001
202-383-1800

Go to the following website to see an online list of the Wardman material held by the museum. Photographs are included:

info@citymuseumdc.org

It would be advisable to make haste. It has been reported that the museum is having financial trouble. The research collection will remain but I am not sure how much staff help will be available if the public part of the museum closes.

Hope this is helpful.
