I have acquired a vintage silver pencil/dip pen combination made by the S. Mordan company. It bears a "T. Wardle" monogram engraving. I do not profess to be an expert on antique writing instruments, however my research indicates that similar items were made by Mordan circa 1860. This would date the piece to a 30-year-old Sir Thomas Wardle.
I am still researching the hallmarks on the piece, but I would email photos & description if you would like to have a look.
I am located in the United States. As Sampson Mordan was located in England, this may be investigated there more thoroughly.
