I have been trying to find my grandmother's family in England. I have a tattered copy of her father's wedding
certificate - 1849 - George Wardle - shoemaker - res. Dunham
- S/O - George Wardle - shoemaker - & Hannah Davenport Faulkner - res. Dunham - D/O - George Faulkner.
They were married in the Parish Church 0f Bowdon, in Co. of
Chester - ? end of word missing. Witnesses were - Joseph
Davenport & Sarah Faulkner.
Other info I have, that I am not sure of - George Sr. - M -
Ann - B - abt 1803 - D - 1868.
George Jr. - George Mortimer - B - Nov. 26, 1828 in Chester,
Bowdon Co. - possibly a mistake.
Hannah Davenport Faulkner - B - May 20, 1830 in Dunham.
I think the first three children were born in England -
James - B - Dec. 1, 1850
George Faulkner - B - Feb. 18, 1854
William Henry - B - June 21, 1857
They had four more children after coming to Canada - Sarah
Ann - Hannah Maria - Ellen - Eliza.
Any help would be appreciated - Les Fair
