Hello Eric:
My grandfather, William A. Wardlaw may be the brother of Henry J. Wardlaw. Here are the names and dates of birth of all his brothers and sisters although I have seen a variance in the dates. I got most of this information from the 1900 Texas census.
Henry Jackson "Joe"- July 23, 1880, died Nov. 7, 1945 in Stockton, Calif. I believe he is buried in McClean, Tex.
Rosa Bell- Nov. 18, 1883 or(4)
Anna Lee- Oct. 14, 1885 or(6)
William A.- March 18, 1891, died Aug. 21, 1979 in Amarillo, Tex.
Joseph M.- June 25, 1895
Rhoda or Roda- Feb. 5, 1898
Lydia or Lydda- Feb. 15, 1900, died and buried in Silverton, Tex.
Their father, John Alexander was born Jan. 9, 1855 somewhere in Arkansas; their mother, Mary Elizabeth Daniell was born Oct. 17, 1859 in Dallas County, Arkansas. Her parents were Masters Daniell and Amanda Easterling. John and Mary were married in Arkansas about 1879 or 1880. John died Mar. 5, 1905 and Mary died July 30, 1915. Both are buried in China Springs, Texas.
I am at a dead end though with any more information about John Alexander. I cannot locate any other records on him but will of course keep looking. And although I've lived in Texas my entire life I don't know where Kirkland, Texas is located.
Good luck in all our searches!!!!!
