Thank you so much for the valuable ideas.I do have some more information on his family.I do have his birth certificate. The Birth Certificate was very hard to read so I did a search of Spartanburg cotton mills of the 1930s.I finally ran across a mill in Tupacau, SC now known as Spartex, SC.After some studying of the BC and the town that is where she resided.I finally figured out he was born in Beech Springs Township. From this I found her family in the 1910-1920-1930 census.I still haven't found his father or his mothers father (deceased on the census, probably died in Tennessee before they relocated to SC).I am new at this but since there was no legal adoption the trail is hard to follow. He was just given away instead of adopted.Again, thank you. This is more han I have ever know of my grandmothers family and I feel better.
