If you are just getting started and don't what line you belong with.... the best way to find someone working on the same line is to get one of you male relatives to test with Family Tree DNA. If you can afford to do a 37 marker test for the y-DNA do it, if not go ahead and do the 12 marker test and later you can upgrade it to 37 markers. If you order your DNA Kit through a project like the Ward Project, you get a discount. Go to http://www.familytreedna.com/public/ward/default.aspx?section=yresults
