Found this mention and wanted to share it. I am not researching this family.
Joseph Ward was 18 years old in 1838 and was brought up in Lawrence Co., TN. His mother, Mary Ward, had 6 children at home in Hardin County, TN. He has two uncles, Leonard and Frederick Hartwick. His father ran off with his niece, Salena Hartwick.
