Hi, this is what I have. Other than the information I have about Enoch Ward, which is verified by information at the National Archives, Probated Will in Raleigh, NC, and Census Records, my information seems to be verifiable, but I have only received this data and not checked it out. The Nathan Ward of whom I write is listed in the book Carroll County, VA Early Settlers. He is also listed in Montgomery Co, VA milita lists on 5 seperate occasions. He died in Grayson Co, VA in 1803. He divided his estate between his 2 sons, Enoch and William per probated will found in Grayson Co. Will book 1-page 25. In 1822, Enoch sold his land in Grayson Co. per the Grayson Co Deed Book. Enoch was living in Rutherford Co, NC. His mother Sarah was living with him at this time. This information does tie in with Enoch having joined the 10th Infantry, Capt. Strother's Co. for the War of 1812. Enoch states he was born in 1797 in Grayson Co, VA. The other brother was William. According to the information I received, William married a Miss Williamson some time after 1803(1819?) and they moved to Hawkins, TN. I apologize for not having the exact date to hand. They are stored in my fire proof safe, and I don't feel like moving this morning. If any of this is helpful, please, let me know. Doris
