Doris, Nathan Ward bought land from David Strait in Isle of Wight Co. in 1779. I know nothing else about him, so don't know if he stayed in that county or moved. I believe his grandparents were Thomas and Jane Ward of Isle of Wight. Do you have a list of your Nathan's wife and children? That sometimes helps to establish a possible connection. Would appreciate having what you do know about your Nathan, even if he turns out to be a different one. That is not a very common name.
