WARD,Benjamin & Barbara/1700s
Posted by: A.Ward (ID *****3562) Date: August 02, 2002 at 14:59:09
  of 16691

The origins of Benjamin & Barbara Ward, who resided during the late 1700s,
in Plainfield Township, Northampton County, PA are unknown,
Barbara's maiden name is unknown.

From Geographic Reference Library.
Can someone claim Benjamin as their relation? Was he PA German,
Scotch Irish, English, Dutch or other? Was he an immigrant? Was he born in PA
or did he migrate from another state? Benjamin took the Oath of Allegiance in
Northampton County, PA in 1778, and served as a private in the
Revolutionary War, commanded by Capt. Lewis Stacher.
Charles Sandwick's 1985 book, "Jacobsburg, A Pennsylvania
Community and Its People," has a chapter, "Descendants
of Benjamin and Barbara Ward."
