Diana I don't think he can be that Peter - the Tattenhall PR is unusual - like of one of those Yorkshire ones - it gives you the parents of the parents for the Baptism .. In the case of Samuel W (1794) his entry is very clear *(he was privately baptised it tells us Dec 2nd (1793) baptised 12 January 1794) ,... of Peter Warburton of Tattenhall Taylor, son of Samuel Warburton of Tilston and Mary his wife; and Mary, daughter of Samuel Morgan of Tattenhall, by Ann his wife. The same PR gives us similar details for the Spencer side (because his wife Elizabeth was from the village), Samuel Spencer was a carpenter. The Peter Warburton from Tilston I dont have a birth for - but his gravestone is in Tattenhall church - I have misplaced my record of the entry - and can't read all of the photograph . but my database says the age is 74 which would agree with 1773 but not 1767 - he died 1847. But it is clear his Father was a Samuel, and the Mary was probably Mary Yardley married in Tilston 30 Sept 1768 (we just missed their Anniversary ..) There seem to have been a lot of Warburtons about! Keith Notify Administrator about this message?
