Hi,
I have been tracing Charles WARBURTON born approx. 1841/2 in Eccles, Lancs.
Have found from (with some great help) that he was down in the 1861 census as Charles WHARBURTON, age 19 born Eccles, occ. light porter.
brother Isaac born Salford, age 17 occ. ralway porter.
The parents are James WARBURTON (WHARBURTON), born Newchurch, Lancashire, England, Age 54 (born 1807 approx,)
occ. Watchman railway,
wife Sarah, born Ireland aged 53.
The family are living 7 Albert Place, The Crescent, Salford. RG9 - 2921 -8-7
So I am assumming that there must have been more children who have left home??
I have a marriage, that I hope is for the above James WARBURTON & Sarah WILCOCK dated 15th Feb, 1830.
I cannot find their son James birth (my ancester), but did find what I hope is Isaac's birth 8/Oct/1843, which has given me the name off the mother Sarah WILCOCK.
I am hoping that someone may have this family in their tree?
With off course more children.
I could not obtain the 1851 census, as it too badly waterlogged.
Hoping to hear from someone.
