My DNA points to a Celtic origin

As well as having my DNA tested for genealogical purposes (STR test)I also had a deep ancestry test (SNP test). This shows my haplogroup is R1b3*, the most common in Europe, having originated in the Iberian refuge during the last Ice Age among descendants of the original Aurignacian migration into Europe about 40,000 years ago. It is most common in the west and declines towards the east.

When combined with my STR profile which matches the Atlantic Modal Haplotype this is considered a strong Celtic indicator.
