Warburton The Village and the Family AND Earl C. Warburton

On page 50 of Warburton the Village and the Family, there is a general statement that, "...the late Earle (sic) C. Warburton...descended from William, born 1732..." . BUT, I can't find anywhere in that book anything that details the connection between those two people. Nor can I find corroborating evidence in either FamilySearch.com or Ancestry.com of the connection claimed. Can anybody help? Thanks.
