You're welcome, Jim. And thank you for the compliment on my name! I'm sorry for not posting sooner but couldn't get back into the forum. My fault, forgot I reset the security on my computer. I'm sure we are all related somehow, if we trace our line back to Jan.
I wish I knew if we really did have Indian blood; the stories could explain the reason for the big gap in the LI Wansor/Wanser/Wanzer/etc. lines. I do have an idea on the "black Dutch" you refer to though. A friend is a native of Holland who came to the US when she was 8 years old. Half her family are blue-eyed blondes, the others have dark eyes and hair. She said they were black Dutch also, and that it was the Spanish ancestry dating back to the time when the Spanish and Dutch were on friendly terms. But since your grandfather came from Brooklyn, he might still be of Anthony's line which is where the Indian ancestry supposedly comes in. Who knows?
