Hello Everyone,
The other day I visited the family cemetery located in Queens, New York. It is here where some of my Wannemacher ancestors are buried. My father showed me one particular Wannemacher tombstone that was nearby where my direct Wannemacher ancestors are buried. The tombstone listed two names, a certain Peter and Dora Wannemacher. He mentioned to me that these particular Wannemachers are related to our Wannemacher ancestors in some way which I would like to find out.
The two names marked on the tombstone are as follows:
Peter Wannemacher born Aug 5th 1864 - died April 6th, 1911
Dora Wannemacher born May 28, 1869 died September 21, 1905
I did some research online and I found an 1880 census of a 15 year old Peter Wannemacher listed with his family, and I found a marriage record of Peter and Dora.
The marriage record indicates that Peter and Dora were married on November 23, 1892 in Manhattan.
I see that Dora Wannamacher's maiden name was Henle, and her parents listed as Anthony Henle and Victoria Muller.
