Thanks for the reply. There is a strong possible connection between my Griffin R. and Malinda Ballentine Chapman Tucker Wright line with your Wann line somehow. It could be through Malinda's mother Edith Chapman White who married James Tucker; they settled in Lincoln Co., TN before 1840. Griffin R. and Malinda moved to NW Arkansas between 1851 and 1854; their oldest daughter Edith Chapman Wright married Thomas Washington Duncan, moving to California between 1854/1855 on a wagon train led by his uncle--the Duncans were part Cherokee. Malinda was a widow by 1868 in Benton Co., Arkansas, later moving to California about 1875, joining her oldest children there.
