Hello. My grandmother was Viola Clara Wank Walburn. She was married to Solomon Calvin Walburn (or maybe Calvin Solomon...we aren't sure which name was really first but he went by Calvin...didn't like the name Solomon)...
My mother was the middle one of 7 of their living children. Viola died in 1930 at the age of 32, as a result of appendicitis and was pregnant at the time.
The youngest 2 children were then adopted and reared by relatives in Penn (I believe the Dubois area). I think Obenrader was the last name of Donna's adoptive family, and I think Donald kept his name, Walburn. I don't know if they were raised in the same family or not.I don't think so but I just don't know. Donna is a retired nun living in Ohio somewhere. If Don is still alive, he is in Fontana California. He may have passed away recently.
I don't know their birthdates at this time. My mother was Verna May, and she was born July 1922. So Wilson, Clem, and Phyllis were older than that, and Nellie, Donald and Donna were younger. As far as I know, Clem and Verna are the only ones with children although I think Nellie had a son.
Verna married Hugh Forrest and they had 5 children together. Of those five, I am the only one married with children.
If you are interested in more info, please contact me. I am interested also in tracing Viola's family back as I know nothing about either the Wanks or the Walburns...
June Forrest Richmond.
