There are so many John Wanamaker's and Samuel Wanamaker's the past 300 years in North America, it would be impossible to know which one you mean, especially your leaving out some vital information, such as..... Dates and locations. John would not have the title "2nd" unless his Father or Grandfather had been John Wanamaker "1st". But in saying that he would have been one of many.

Sorry I don't have Rebecca Smith or her father Valentine Smith, but I do have most Wanamaker's who descend from the New Jersey and Ontario Canada Branch. This family is very old. The first main branches came over to the US in 1709 NJ, 1731 PA and 1738 SC.
