I am a descendant of Barbara Wampole who married Isaac Pawling Jr. in Berks Vounty, Pa. in the late 1700s. She was a daughter of Elias Wampole who was a son of Adam Wampole who came to America on the "Harle" "from Rotterdam last from Crewes" on September 1, 1736. They were Palatines. I have a book "The Sellers and Wampole Families" which was privately published (150 copies) in 1903. It has 131 pages, but only pages 126-131 are about the Wampole family. Adam settled in Coventry Township in Chester County, Pa. His will is on file at Philadelphia and is recordered in Liber M, folio 316. It is dated May 27, 1762, proved June 23, 1762. Adam and Catherin (lnu)Wampole's children were Frederick, Elizabeth, Mary, Catherine, Ludwick, Elias, Peter, Magdalena, Adam and George. Their son Elias married Barbara Crey. Their children were John (married Sarah Ann Sailer), Barbara (married Isaac Pawling Jr.),Magdalena(married a Gordon), Hannah(married Samuel Horn), Elizabeth (married Joseph Long), Mary (married David Horn). I will be happy to send any descendent a copy of the Wampole pages from the book. Bob Price 28 Stonebriar Way, Frisco, Texas 75034 (972)335-4367.
