I am researching Mary Ann Wampler Hill, b. 1829, d/o Jeremiah and Rebecca (Hall), s/o John and Elizabeth (Jansen), s/o Hans George Sr. and Elizabeth (Stephan). Mary Ann married Nathan Hill 13 Jul 1845 and one of their children was Arabella Hill, b. 1848. In the 1860 census, Arabell is shown living with her grandfather (Jeremiah) who is living with his married daughter Emaline Lundy and her family. Does anyone know why she was living with her grandfather? I also show in an 1850 census, Mary Ann's last name as "Morehead". Any information? (the census records take some interpretation, but I believe I am reading them correctly?)
