**Believe Allen and possibly Mary A. killed by raid on their home between 1860&1870 in Limestone Co., TX. Son, Robert and daughter Hulda or Muhulda survive this raid. There possibly was a 3rd child that survived (Caroline), but do not have anything on what happened to her.
Robert marries Lucy Wood (buried Antoich Cemetery in Limestone Co., TX); he then marries Sarah Billington and spelling is surname is Weempe. Sarah & Robert buried Billington Cem., Limestone Co., TX.
Hulda/Muhulda went by name "Lizzie" rest of her life and used the spelling Wampee for surname. She married George Washington Holman, possibly in Limestone Co., TX. They moved to Jack Co., TX (1880) and then into Chickasaw Co., OK (Love Co. area). Husband died in 1905 & is buried in Cornish Cemetery, along with my grandmother, Marietta "Etta" Holman and her sister, Bessie Lee Holman.
Lizzie had 13 children, only 11 surviving. She died in Young Co., TX and is buried in Cottonwood Cem., Jack Co., TX.
We are not sure of Allen Wampee/Weempe/Wampie/Wamfry spelling of last name. Trying to find his ancestors and also looking for his wife, Mary A.'s maiden name. Story has it that Allen came out of Georgia, but have found nothing about a connection with Georgia.
Any help appreciated.
