Anna Barbara Peter born in 1822 was the mother of Sophie Roeder who was born in 1844 in Bad Durkheim, Germany. Sophie Roeder married Valentine Walther who was born in Bad Durkheim, Germany in 1842. They came to the United States and raised a family in Nevada with many descendents. The Chamber of Commerce in Elko, Nevada is housed in the renovated log house built by Valentine Walther in Sherman, Nevada. (It was moved from Sherman to Elko a few years ago.) The log house was the largerst log house in Nevada. There are a lot of photos and period information about the family and its geneology that lived in the home if you ever visit Elko, Nevada. This hardly answers your inquiry, but it is interesting to see the Anna Barbara name again tied to the later generation Walther family.
