Hello

Sounds like you have done a significant amount of research on the Hudsons and Bowmans. Perhaps you can help me with the census information. The Walthalls (you may also be familiar with them) were connected through marriage, land, etc. with the Bowmans. They came to Cumberland Co KY from Chesterfield Co VA. Were the Hudsons in Chesterfield Co Va as well? Here is the 1870 household from Cumberland Co KY:

1870 Cumberland Co KY census:
W.A. WALTHALL 33 KY
Julia A. Waltahll 33 KY
Sally Walthall 6 KY
Daniel Walthall 6/12 KY
Charley (or Churley) Walthall black 8 blk domestic servant
DICK, Paul 14 KY blk farmhand
HUDSON, S, female, 35 white KY housekeeper

Do you know who S. Hudson may have been? I cannot determine what Wm Archer Walthall's wife's maiden name was - perhaps Hudson? The marriage records for that period in Cumberland Co Ky are missing. any help would be appreciated.

Deborah Thurman Parks
