Ron: I don't know if we will ever find any
real documentation on the four Walters brothers
who went to Jones Co., MS in the late 1819s or
early 1820s from South Carolina, but based on my
oral history and census and county records, those
brothers would have had to be Willoby, Matthew,
Asa and Herrin. I have mixed thoughts about the
father of Elijah Walters, but know that he had to
be a son of Willoby or Matthew. I lean toward that
being Willoby only because of other family connections
and what my fathers said his kinship to that branch.
Ron, I have a new e-mail address since we corresponded.
