• Henry Waterhouse , b 13th December 1770, arrived in Sydney on the Sirius as a midshipman in January 1788 ( just 17 years old )
• Henry never married but had an illegitimate daughter Maria, born in Sydney in 1791 to Elizabeth Barnes (Baines). Maria, who went to England in 1796 with Colonel Paterson and his wife, is reputed to have died before she was 21 without issue.
• Henry Waterhouse had returned to England in 1791 and was present at Howe’s victory in the Nile campaign on 1st June 1794.
• Captain Henry arrived back in Sydney in September 1795.
• He sailed again for England in March 1800.
• And died on 27th July 1812.
