If you haven't found Rootsweb's newest resource section yet, you'll be pleasantly surprised. :-) They've recently started accepting and posting GEDCOM files. To search the GEDCOMs or to post your own, go to: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/

The World Connect Project is still in beta testing, but already has over 3,000,000 individuals indexed. One great feature is that a visitor is able to download GEDCOMs from those posted (if permitted by contributor.)
