Looking for my Grandfather

I'm looking for Jake Carl Walston, son of Charles Dexter Walston and Rosa Lillie ?. Jake died in Aug. 1943 while on a merchant ship en route from Africa and was buried in the Red Sea. He was born Jan. 23, 1915 and married Armeta Maria Creef. Any help would be appreciated. He died when my mother was just 7 mos old, she has passed away and now I'm continuing her search.
