Hi Charles,

Where is Wewahitchlka, FL? I am researching John L. Walsingham, b. 1849 in FL married Sophronia C. St. Johns, b. 1862. Both are buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Gainesville, FL. I need info as to where and when they married.

Sophronia's parents were William St. Johns, b. 1834 and Emily Davis, b. 1835. The Davis and St. Johns lived in Baker, Thomas, Decatur counties in GA before they married in Baker Co, GA ca. 1852. After they married Emily and William St. Johns are in 1860 Marion Co, FL census and 1870 Mitchell Co, GA census. At least one of Sophronia's brothers moved to Taylor Co, FL and remained there until he died.

Are your Walsinghams from Washington Co, FL?
