I'm not sure that the rcds are still kept in the parish. They are old, many illegible. They may have been collected and kept in a controlled environment by now.
Suggest you query the IFHF affiliates in the counties you intend to visit to see what rcds they have. I know they had access to the National Archives of Ireland microfilms and perhaps the original parish registers as well. Best to find out BEFORE you visit Ireland. OH! For rcds which haven't been digitized, a search is done on a commission basis. Be sure to inquire abt the fees as well.
