PLACENTIA,Newfoundland

Does anyone know if Richard Welsh, merchant, died 1770,age 53,and buried in the Anglican cemetery in Placentia,Newfoundland..is the ancestor of all the RC Walshes in Point Verde-Placentia area today? My GGM was Anastasia Walsh, plus many other relatives.
My own Green ancestors(planters) are also buried near him, though their headstones have disappeared, presumably fallen over and buried.
Any information on the Welsh/Walsh family, the Greens/Greenes,and Collins,Bradshaws buried in this cemetery would be welcome, or has anyone got old photos from, say, 1930-1940s era, when the Green headstones(or one at least)were still standing ? Thanks.Ward.wardgreene@hotmail.com
