I know my great grandparents: William J. Walsh and his wife Catherine nee Savage Walsh came to the USA around 1870 in NY. I've found them in census living in NY/NY, and Bennington, Vermont. My cousin Donald has been trying for a while to find out where in Ireland they came from, where they got married. We know they died in R.I. and are buried in St. Francis cemetary in Pawtucket, R.I.
We also know: William was born abt. 1834 and Catherine (Kate) was born in 1850. William died 3/21/1896 in Prov.,R.I.. Catherine died 10/21/1919 in Prov.,R.I..
Our grandfather, their son was born David Francis Walsh 6/24/1841, married Margaret Jane Halford 2/21/1898 in R.I..
Our goal is to find where in Ireland the came from.
William's parents were John and Ellen; Catherine's parents were John and Mary Savage.
