Hello Agnes,
Wow, I have just about given up hope of ever finding her family!I am at work right now and do not have all of my genealogy info with me, but will try and summarize my relationship with Mary Ann Nolan (Walsh), and some of what I know about the family so that we can see if we are related. Please, please let me know if there is a connection, as I would love to learn more of our family.
Mary Ann (Nolan) Walsh was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire. She married and had at least five (5) boys from what I understand. She was living in Keighley about 1929, according to a note from my Great Aunt Emily.
Her brother, James Francis Nolan, b. abt. March 1863, moved to the United States about 1880, and was my Great Grandfather. My Great Grandfather died in 1903.Their brother, Richard Nolan, came to the United States for awhile, as he was found on the 1910 Rhode Island Census.I believe he must have went back to England, as I never found him again.
There was also a Thomas Stinchon on the 1910 Rhode Island Census (married to Margaret Nolan - daughter of John Nolan???).
Also, I believe that their brother John Nolan had a daughter named Alice Nolan. She came to the United States and helped take care of my Great Aunt Mary Josephine (Nolan) Toomey when she was ill. This was about 1919.I also believe that she went back to England.
I will wait to hear from you to see if there is a connection. Please let me know either way, as I would love to find my family in England.I went to England in March 2000, and would love to make another trip back.
Thank you,
Cathy Nolan
