If his grandparents could be a Leland Walrath, b. 1911 and Celia Winslow, and his father either Marvin or Kenneth, I have some info. that might be helpful. This line goes back to 1710 Palatine emigrants Heinrich Conrad and Christina Matheus Wallrath. They were not from the Palatinate but most likely Hessen-Nassau. Gerhardt Wallrath and Heinrich Conrad Wallrath were always found close to each other and their families settled in the Mohawk Valley of NY. There are church records in Runkel Germany documenting the Gerhardt Wallrath/Wallrad/Walrath/Walrad family as living in Ennerich. It has always been assumed that Gerhardt and Heinrich Conrad were closely related. It is my belief that Heinrich was a son of Gerhardt and his first wife Eva Elisabetha. I am descended from both through a marriage of grandchildren. You can contact me at jawswife@aol.com
