If you will go to the KyGenWeb site and click on Trigg County's web page, there are several Wallis families from SC listed in the 1850 census.

Here are a few:

1850 census, Trigg Co., KY:

#16 - WALLIS, Ferdinand, 46, farmer, SC
Mary F., 48, SC
Wayman T., 21, farmer, KY.
John J., 15, KY.

#18 - WALLIS, Benjamin, 69, farmer, SC
Milly, 59, VA. (maiden name Stone, 1st m. Cornelius Burnett)

#30 - WALLIS, James B., 44, teacher, ??
Permelia, 46, SC

# 7 - Wallace, William, 48, farmer, SC
Ynum M., 18, farmer, KY.
