Matthew F. Wallis who was born 08 Jan 1756 in Amelia Co., VA was married twice. By his first wife (name unproven)he had Richard Wallis, born 10 Oct 1784 Wake Co., NC and Matthew Wallis born 17 Sep 1786 in Wake Co., NC and died about 1855 in Limestone Co., TX. Matthew married Elizabeth Cobb about 1805 in Iredell Co., NC. His children were Martin A. Wallis born c 1805; John Gillum Wallis born 22 Nov 1809; Salina Wallis born c ???; Richard Wallis born 14 Jul 1814; Sylvester Wallis born c 1816; Elizabeth T. Wallis born 05 Aug 1819; Matthew Wallis born 09 Sep 1821 and Gabriel Washington Wallis born 24 Nov 1824 and died c 1870 in Waco, Mclennan Co., TX. Rhodene
