Ed or Eden Walling married Katherine O'Mahoney

(I shall include as much as I can at the moment to help other researchers/relatives)

My Ed was a member of the G.A.R. Hooton Post #338 Butte, Boyd county, Nebraska. As Eden Walling served in 22nd WI Infantry as a Privite. He is also listed in the 1893 Nebraska Vetetrans Census. There is a picture of some members of this post not dated but does have a Joe Walling & 3 "unknowns". (perhaps this is a big clue or piece of the puzzle & I hope helps someone else. Pictures are wonderful finds) There is also listed Ed's friend Hiram Henry Atwood (who is also listed in the sites Easter Star listing as charter members with his with Sarah Elizabeth Mills Atwood) who's son Logan John Atwood marries Ed's daughter Mae Elizabeth "Lizzy" Walling 9/8/1909 in Norfolk, Nebraska. Mae Elizabeth "Lizzy" Walling was born 10/14/1892 in Pipestone, Michigan. (she is my father's mother's (Thelma Lavina Atwood Corse) mother)

Katherine O'Mahoney comes from Micheal C. O'Mahoney of who I have a copy of his "2nd papers" or Letter of Declaration from court to become a citizen. This is dated Ocotber 9, 1868 from the Superior court in NY city Bundle 202, record 214A. This has him listed as living at 214 East 22nd street. His witness/friend John P. Murray of 97 Mott Street. Micheal came from Cork, Ireland & this is all we have been able to track down. My grandmother & uncle have been to Ireland & did some searching in the late 70's.

I hope to find someone out there who can find some of my people in your lists, notes, pictures or trees. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Garland DeCourcy gdecourcy@yahoo.com
