From a Family Tree Maker file I have from Diana Williams ca. 1998, I have:
"Daniel Walling was born 1826 in White Co., Tennessee. He married Rebecca Gist, 25 August 1842 in White Co., Tennessee (Source: Oldest Marriage Book: White Co. TN - 1977, p. 68, mar. by Wm. Austin, Esq. P. 13). More About Daniel Walling: Fact 1: 1850 Census, White Co., TN; Fact 3: 1870 Census, Hopkins Co. TX, Black Jack Grove p. 92; fact 4: 1880 Census - Hopkins Co., TX #245. Children of Daniel Walling and Rebecca Gist are: i. Phoebe Walling, b. 1843. ii. Thomas Walling, b. 1845. iii. Martha Walling, b. 1847. iv. Sarah Walling, b. 1856. v. Malvina Walling, b. 1859. vi. Robertson Walling, b. 1861. vii. Joanna Walling, b. 1863. viii. James Walling, b. 1868."
I do not know Diana's source for these dates. My guess is that her Robertson is your Robert.

Best Wishes,
David Walling
