Sorry it took so long to respond.Thank you for the information.I am hoping you have some incorrect information, since I had my hopes pinned on Nancy being my 4th great-grandma.Are you sure Nancy died in Virginia?Do you know what happened to her children, Morgan and Delilah? The reason I am asking is that I descend as follows:
Morgan Bryan(t) (b 1778)+ Sarah ( Nancy Walling?)
Morgan Bryan(t) (b 1812) + Anna Jane Herd
James Hayes Bryant
John Douglas Bryant
John Douglas Bryant, Jr.
John Michael Bryant
Jeffrey Michael Bryant
I received a copy of an old Walling family chart from Diana Williams. It was evidently created by a Felix Walling. In that chart, the Morgan you refer to is listed as having the following children:
Doyle
May
Jim
Crocket
and (Perry?)
This information is EXTREMELY close to my family. My great great grandparent and his siblings were:
John D. (Doyle)
James Hayes (Jim) (my great great grandpa)
Mary Ross (May)
Anderson Crocket (Crocket)
Perry Francis (Perry?)
If this chart is true, then Nancy is the same person as Sarah, my 4th great grandma.Sarah is buried in White County, Tennessee next to my 4th great grandpa, Morgan (b.1778).Also, when my 3rd great grandpa, Morgan (b. 1812), was getting old, Anderson S. Rogers was appointed his legal guardian.Anderson S. Rogers' wife was Delilah Jane Bryan(t).I assume that Delilah was a sister to the younger Morgan, otherwise, why would a non-family member be appointed Morgan's legal guardian? The fact that Delilah and Morgan both appear in my family makes me hopeful that Nancy and Sarah are the same person.Any help or hints?
