Well, I've found another fellow that I think just might be a brother or other relative to your Robert.I found this listing in the Rootsweb Archives - under "Ft. Covington Civil War Records, Franklin Co., NY."It shows an Antoine Walling, b 1838 in Canada, residence in Ft. Covington in Franklin Co NY.I read my notes from a message I received from you in 1996 and the notes said that the Nicholas Walling family moved to the U.S. around 1837 and in 1840 were living in Ft. Covington.
