Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Re: Walling/Wallen

Dear MarthaJane,

Ny ggggrandfather/mother were William and Lydia Walling from N.J./R.I. They settled in S.C. where he served in the
S.C. Militia as a minuteman/patriot during the Am. Rev. War. They settled in N. Alabama around l818 and remained
there until their death in the mid l830s. I think William
had a brother named Richard that perhaps remained in S.C.
I have researched very little information on the Wallings
from S.C. My e-mail address is rodger-walling@
bellsouth.net. I will be happy to share information.

Rodger
