Hi Norm,

Yes, I, too have all the history of John T. Walling, from Hannah Carter upwards.

My great grandmother is John T. Walling's sister, Carrie M. Wallin born 1847 in NY.

Her sister & John's is Mary Ann Wallin who married Horace John Christian of Cayuga County, NY in 1858. They are listed in the 1870 Mentz, NY Census, then moved to MI by 1880. Horace John Christian died in 1878 from a horse kick and was found in his field.

Donna Walling has given me the history of John T. Walling & photographs.

My computer is down, so am using a neighbors & can't e-mail anything I have stored at present.

Carrie M. Wallin is listed in 1870 Census with Mary Ann Christian & Horace J. Christian as CLARA M. WALLIN.

I am trying to find where their parents died in NY.

Carrie gave testimony that in 1863, when she was living with the VanOstrand family in Albion, MI that John T. Walling, her brother, came and took her to her sister's home in Mentz, NY during the "Rebellion".

She last knew he was in Sac City, Iowa. She married Harmon Gilson Brown of Cayuga County, NY, then Steuben County, IN in 1879.

I have much inf., but am looking for their other brothers and inf. on Joseph & Susannah (Cook) Wallin of Keyham, Leicester, England & why they came to America in the 1840's & where they died.

I won't be able to preview this post, excuse typos. I will get my computer up ASAP.
